This month we were very excited to begin a partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities of Oregon and SW Washington. Maria was able to tour one of their amazing facilities and see how much love and care RMHC provides to the families staying there. We can’t wait to make our next delivery of gift boxes to them.
Other good news during March: our Community Enhancement Program grant was approved with the City of Sherwood to provide boxes for the Sherwood Family Resource (SHARE) Center over the coming year. We received a wonderful donation of waterproof bibs from Bumkins, which are now included in gift boxes purchased from our shop page. Lather + Stone, a local mama owned business also hosted a fundraiser for us through her online store this month. She makes beautiful soaps and stoneware. Before quarantine began, we were invited to Pamplin School of Business’ Women in Business Showcase. It was a wonderfully inspiring evening where we got to meet some local business women, and also listen to leaders in business share with us about how hard work, believing in yourself, and supporting one another is so important.
Due to the effects of COVID-19 and being self quarantined, we had to get creative with how we got our boxes into the hands of mamas who need them. We still managed to give away 17 gift boxes! Two of those were to the Northwest Mother’s Milk Bank. Keep a lookout on their social media pages for details about how they’re planning to use them. In Kind Boxes will also be hosting more regular giveaways on our Instagram and Facebook pages. We know this time is really hard for families, and we want to continue to be a source of love and support. Be sure to follow us, so you don’t miss your chance to win!
